Relevant Policies for Physical Health Test


1."National Student Physical Health Standard" (hereinafter referred to as "standard") is the basic guidance document and basic standard of education quality for national school education, and is an important basis for evaluating the comprehensive quality of students, evaluating school work and measuring the development of education in various places. It is the specific implementation of the "National Physical Training Standard" in schools.

 

2. This standard adheres to health first, and implements the Outline of the National Medium- and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan (2010-2020), and the Notice of the General Office of the State Council to Forward Several Opinions of the Ministry of Education and Other Departments on Further Strengthening School Sports Work. Banfa [2012] No. 53) and “Notice of the Ministry of Education on Printing and Distributing Three Methods for Monitoring and Evaluation of Students’ Physical Health” (Jiaotiyi [2014] No. 3), focusing on improving the letter of application of the Standard Degree, validity and differentiation, focusing on strengthening its educational incentives, feedback adjustment and guiding exercise functions, focusing on improving its support for education monitoring and performance evaluation.

 

3. This standard comprehensively assesses the student's physical fitness level in terms of body shape, physical function and physical fitness. It is an educational method that promotes the healthy development of students' physical fitness and encourages them to actively exercise. It is also the core literacy system and academic quality of national students' development. An important part of the standard is the individual evaluation standard of students' physical fitness.

 

4. The height and weight in the body shape category, the vital capacity in the body function category, and the 50-meter running and forward flexion in the physical fitness category are the common indicators for students of all grades.

 

5. The total score for the academic year of this standard consists of the sum of the standard score and the additional score, with a full score of 120 points. The standard score consists of the sum of the scores of individual indicators and the product of weights, with a full score of 100 points. The additional points are determined according to the actual measurement results, that is, the extra points with a score of more than 100 points are added, and the full score is 20 points; the extra points are pull-ups for boys and running at 1000 meters, and girls in 1 minute sit-ups and running at 800 meters. The bonus points for each indicator are 10 points.

 

6. According to the student's total grades in the academic year: 90.0 points and above are excellent, 80.0 to 89.9 points are good, 60.0 to 79.9 points are passing, and 59.9 points and below are failing.

 

7. For students who are aspiring to participate in the awards and evaluations, the physical examination scores must be passed or above;starting with the class of 2019,students who graduate with a physical score below 50 will be graded as either completion or incompletion (a student's grade and grade at graduation  wil be gradeed on the basis of 50% of the total grade for the year of graduation plus 50%of the average gradue for the rest of the year students of 2+2 are calcuiated at 50% of each grade of freshman year and sophomore year.

 

8. Students due to illness or disability can submit an application to the school to suspend or be exempt from the implementation of the "Standard". Upon certification by the medical unit and approved by the Physical Education Center, the student can be suspended or exempt from the implementation of the "Standard" and fill out the "Exemption from Execution" Health Standard Application Form”, deposited in student files. Students with disabilities who are truly incapacitated and exempted from the implementation of the "Standard" can still participate in the evaluation and awards. The results of the "Standard" upon graduation must be marked as exempt.

 

9. This standard is interpreted by the Physical Education Center.
