Sports dance

Sports Dance, also known as Competitive Ballroom Dance, is a partnered dance discipline performed by male and female dancers in a walking-style duet format. It is divided into two categories encompassing ten dances: the Standard category includes Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Quickstep, while the Latin category consists of Rumba, Cha-Cha, Samba, Jive, and Paso Doble. Each dance has its own distinct music, steps, and style, with routines choreographed according to the specific musical and movement requirements of the respective dance. This course focuses on two Latin dances—Jive and Cha-Cha—and aims to help students improve physical fitness through the practice of sports dance, achieving benefits such as weight loss and enhanced coordination.
