Club Introduction:

MOVIE@XJTLU was set up in 2006 and took on the duty to promote the pure art of movie. MOVIE@XJTLU is the only A-class club in the university for 12 consecutive years, integrating film training, performance, production and stage performance. It is the largest art club in XJTLU.

MOVIE@XJTLU provides a platform for members to shoot films and videos related to any theme they want to shoot. Meanwhile, students who enjoy watching movies can share film critics with us. Student who loves drama can show themselves on the stage. Students who have an acting dream can realize their dreams with others in aspect of trying their best to perform themselves. Students who like creating stories can put their thoughts in scripts and share with others. Students who are interested in shooting films can learn basic knowledge about film making, including scripts writing, shooting, acting, post-producing, editing, color grading. In MOVIE@XJTLU, any ideas related to performance and movie will be fully supported.

Speech of the club leader:

I am very happy and surprised that MOVIE@XJTLU could be ranked the first among many art clubs. As the president, although I deserve some credit for this result, it is more the result of the joint efforts of the whole team. Because of the epidemic, last year was a special and challenging one for all clubs, especially for MOVIE@XJTLU. In the first semester, our club was punished for discipline violation, and in the second semester, we couldn't go back to school because of the epidemic, so we had to change the leadership in advance, which meant that our new management knew very little about the activities in previous years, and the content of many activities had to be communicated to us according to the memory of senior. In such a difficult situation, it is the unity of the 14 management levels of the club, the responsibility of the 33 DV group leaders and the active cooperation of the 420 members that we have achieved good results in the first half of the school year. I hope the MOVIE@XJTLU can make continuous efforts in the second half of the school year and pass on the previous brilliant achievements!

As one of the earliest associations in XJTLU, MOVIE@XJTLU has been adhering to its high-quality and unique activities for more than ten years. This year, we havemade some innovations on the basis of previous inherent activities and achieved good results. In the context of the establishment of School of Film and TV Arts , it is hoped that more students can learn about film making and fall in love with the process through the MOVIE@XJTLU, which is also the original intention of the us.
