At the beginning of the new semester, Fresher’s Fair, the annual club recruitment of XJTLU was held on the campus. On the afternoon of August 30th, about 160 clubs set up exhibition areas inside and outside the Central Building, tried their best to grab the attention of the students. Please have a glimpse of the wonderful event and feel the hot atmosphere.

Freshmen who have just attended the opening ceremony must be familiar with the Chinese Orchestra form Art Association. The folk music performance at the opening ceremony comes from this club.

Hankuo Gao(above right), the leader of Chinese Orchestra as well as a year 2 student majoring in human resources management, introduced that apart from participating in performances on campus，the Chinese Orchestra also holds two concerts together with the Orchestra every year. All the students will have the chance to enjoy the wonderful performances.

"Students who love traditional music and have basic instrumental skills, musical sense and rhythm are welcome to join the Chinese orchestra." Gao Hankuo said.

The International Business Language Culture Association(ILCA) is an organization for XJTLU international students. According to president Ying Huang, 60% to 70% of the members of ILCA are international students.

In order to help international students better understand and integrate into XJTLU, ILCA holds activities on Christmas, Halloween and other important festivals every year to promote exchanges among members. Additionally, some language courses are designed by ILCA, inviting its members to teach the language of their own country.

If you are interested in improving your oral speaking and communicating with more foreign friends, you should not miss this excellent opportunities.

The students of Chinese Cross Talkshow Club played Allegro in the booth area,they dressed in a big coat and talked humorous lines, showing the charm of Crosstalk art to every passing students.

"The original intention of the establishment of Chinese Cross Talkshow Club is to disseminate happiness to everyone."  Ying Wang, a member of the Cross Talkshow Club, a sophomore majoring in Economics and Finance (above left)said.

Green Environmental Club has been established for five years. The club takes public welfare as the direction, organizing green plant adoption, bird watching in the wild, photography contest and other activities.

"This year，we will hold a photo contest with the theme of wetland." Club members Guangyu Murong (left above) and Bokang Tian (right above) said.

On the booth of football team, Han Ye (pictured above), holding the trophy and smiling happily. Football team has won the second place in the "XJTLU Cup" Chinese-Foreign Cooperation University Football League for two consecutive years. In their spare time, they will have an alumni competition with XJTLU graduates.

"Welcome to our football team!" Han Ye said.

Minjie Cai, the president of the Design Association (pictured left), said that the Design Association is not only an academic society but also has made great achievements in the design field. In the summer of 2019, the Association was also invited to visit Hermè s Design Exhibition in Shanghai.

For the freshmen who entered the school this year, Minjie Cai gave his own suggestion: "I hope that everyone can be down-to-earth and lay a good foundation in the first year in XJTLU, and can use college time to learn to expand design ideas."

Adam Kuzma (pictured above) from Poland is a junior in Architecture department of XJTLU. In XJTLU, he has established profound friendship with students from different countries and cultural backgrounds.

When it comes to the Freshers’ Fair, he conveyed that some places can be further improved: "I hope the clubs can have more propaganda and add more detailed information."

Isamina Salop (pictured above) is an exchange student from Liverpool University, UK, and is currently a sophomore in XJTLU.

"This is the first large-scale event I participated in in in XJTLU to make many friends. I hope there will be more similar activities in the future." Isamina said.
