Guzheng is also known as han zheng, qin zheng, yao zheng and luan zheng. With beautiful timbre, wide range of timbre and rich playing skills, it is an ancient national musical instrument with a long history of Chinese culture. At the same time, it has also become an art symbolizing female tenderness, gentleness and tranquility.

Mention the guzheng, we will naturally imagine a long-sleeved white clothes, hair like clouds, bright eyes haotooth woman, sitting in a corner, delicate element refers to, tease the strings, pieces of autumn leaves fly, this scene, beauty and sound. Zheng is one of the most popular Musical Instruments in Tang dynasty, which is solemn and elegant, and enjoys both refined and popular tastes. For example, bai juyi wrote in his poem zheng about the exquisite performance of a wonderful woman.

Guzheng club is one of the few ancient societies, adhering to enrich the students' campus culture life and cultivating students' comprehensive development, carrying forward the national musical instrument. It aims at encouraging students to find themself, show ego, to realize the self, go beyond self, and love music, love art, love life. Since its inception guzheng society, through the way of courses in guzheng, it let more home and international students understand the guzheng, love guzheng, and spread traditional Chinese culture.  Chinese guzheng club for the past several years, has a close connection with many societies, and undertakes the relevant performance activities, such as east China BBS, poetry gala, association culture festival, and so on. Since 2017, guzheng club has started to independently hold the girls' day activities on March 7, which has been well received by both the association and students. Every year's girls' day is carefully designed and planned by guzheng club members, and many associations are invited to co-organize, which has achieved a good influence in the school. In the future, guzheng club will continue to contact all kinds of associations and make its contribution to the cultural publicity of the school associations. Fortunately, after several years of unremitting efforts, guzheng society won the second place in the association rating in 2017-2018 and won the title of art A-class association.

President's message:

 thanks to XJTLU and art instructors for their recognition of guzheng society, which is also my work. It is gratifying and touching that guzheng society has made such achievements in 2017-2018. Such a result cannot be separated from the instruction and work support from the former President, and also from the efforts of every member of guzheng club. Here I would like to thank the former President and my members. President is a great responsibility is relatively hard, along the way there are too many unknown bitter suffering, but we in development of guzheng club's faith is never change, I also hope that the future of the new President, and later Chinese guzheng club President can take the responsibility, bear pit, do the practical work, contribute to the subsequent development of guzheng club.
