This semester, members of the musical theater troupe will present Butterflies on the stage of XJTLU with full sincerity. The classic musical Butterflies, created by Teacher Sanbao, is a modern adaptation based on the timeless legend of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. When symphonic music meets traditional Chinese instruments, and when the melodious tones of Liang Zhu blend harmoniously with pop vocal techniques, what kind of sparks will the love and hatred from a thousand years ago ignite in this era? The "butterfly people" (characters in the musical) never stop their steps—charge ahead bravely, no need for explanations, traverse the trials of time with love, and sing an ode to life: "I persist because I love."
