Through the format of a do-it-yourself (DIY) car-building competition, science and engineering knowledge such as mechanical design, hardware assembly, and software programming is integrated with engaging hands-on practice. This stimulates students' interest in exploring science and engineering fields including mechanical engineering, electronic information, and computer programming. The included project training guides students to learn or enhance relevant professional skills during the car-building and competition process, strengthens comprehensive abilities such as communication and coordination, division of labor and cooperation, and problem-solving, and lays a foundation for students' future career development and disciplinary research.
