The competition starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m., and it is divided into four categories: Go, Chinese chess, Gomoku, and International chess. There are a total of seven rounds.
The competition includes both individual and team events. For the team event, a school can form a team to participate if it has at least three registered participants. The format of the competition is the same for both individual and team events, with all matches being played in an individual format.
In the individual event, the top six competitors will be awarded. The first to third place winners will receive trophies and certificates, while the fourth to sixth place winners will receive certificates.
For the team event, schools will form teams. In the Go and Chinese chess categories, the total scores of the top three competitors from each school will be added together to determine the team's score. The top three schools will be awarded with trophies and certificates. In the Gomoku and International chess categories, only the highest score from each school will be considered, and the top school will be awarded with a trophy and certificate.
