On the twelfth of April, in the year of 2017, the election of student union formally starts at FB 2S. The president candidates, Tianyu Xiang and Zeyu Mu, and the vice-president candidates, Xiaotao Zhou, Xingyu Chen, Yuanfang Shang and Edgar Kim, give speeches about their guiding principles and convey their passions and determinations. From 12th April to 14th, the voting line on ICE will be available and students can get access to vote for your favorite candidates.

The first section is about election of president. The first president candidate is Tianyu Xiang. He emphasizes activities, right protection, inner development and opportunities. 

The second president candidate is Zeyu Mu, she focuses on “service” and “coordination” in order to achieve outstanding performance. Moreover, she plans to improve the evaluation system to reduce duplication of activity types and increase the quality of activities.

XJTLU Student Union is not only a student organization, but also a platform connecting university with students. Students are concerned about the election and candidates guiding principles. So After speeches, two candidates answer relevant questions put forward by students in Q&A session. 

The second section is the election of vice-president. Firstly, Xiaotao Zhou explains his guiding principles such as putting the goal of severing students at the top priority, strengthening the communication and information construction. 

The second vice-president candidate is Xingyu Chen, he stresses on three aspects including protecting students’ rights, changing the function of student union and training system construction. 

The next candidate is Yuanfang Shang. She illustrates about enhancing the communication among departments, improving the quality of activities and serving students.

 The last candidate is Edgar Kim from South Korea. He promises to build a real platform to connect local students with international ones and contribute to globalization of XJTLU. 

After speeches, the four candidates give specific plans in Q&A section.

From 12th April, 2017, the voting channel will be open on ICE so that students can vote for their favorite president and vice-president. Moreover, the voting line will be last for three days.

 XJTLU Student Union has witnessed the development of XJTLU for ten years. It is believed that XJTLU Student Union will create the bridge between the university and serve students and speak out for students in order to be more trustful and reliable.
