SOSNews has been established for two years, and its news covers all over the student club and organization events. As one of the most important news editor groups in XJTLU, SOSNews also provide the interviews.
Till now, SOSNews is not only responsible for underline magazines, but also online promotion, such as Club Website, Public WeChat platform. When you are members of it, you will be trained as a news officer.
Detailed information of recruitment
Members of crew:
Editor-in –chief (1 person), vice editor (cooperate with interview team, 3 persons), journalist (5 persons), art editor and photographer (5 persons), WeChat managers (5 person)
Responsibility of members:
Editor-in- chief: communicate with advisor and exchange information, take charge of the direction of team, plan and deliver the activities and tasks, select and correct writing, photos, and other source, manage the website
Vice editors: support the editor-in-chief, be responsible for individual interview team, collect data, manage individual club’s file, and pick up human stories and previous interview plans
Journalists: in charge of interview and write news
Art editor and photographer: take photo of each activity and people been interviewed, and provide post production
Secretary: help editor-in-chief communicate with other departments, take responsibilities of printing and recording
Entry requirements:
All the applicants should be strongly conscientious, and be willing to do something challenging and relevant with media. Each member should arrange his/ her extra time effectively and work for the new centre at least 5 hours per week. Meanwhile, good cooperative ability is also very important.
Editor-in-chief: logical and clear, good ability of organization, excellent taste of words and art, enthusiasm for media work
Vice editor: patient and circumspect, logical and clear, good at words and art
Journalist: good at bilingual writing, sensitive to message, strong at communication
Art editor and photographer: positive and excellent taste of beauty, good at photographing, master basic skill of painting software, e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, good hand drawing (much better)
WeChat Manager: interested on the New Media and prefer to explore the fresh layout and editing of twitters
